CampusEvolve.ai Awarded GitLab Foundation Grant to Develop AI Guide for Low-Income Learners across Washington State
Seattle, WA – March 4, 2025
CampusEvolve.ai has been selected as a recipient of the GitLab Foundation’s AI for Economic Opportunity fund, joining the second cohort of winners. This prestigious grant will support the development of The AI Guide for Career Bridge, an innovative AI-driven tool designed to help low-income students navigate their pathways to post-secondary credentials and economic mobility.
The AI Guide for Career Bridge project is a collaborative effort between CampusEvolve.ai, the Washington Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board, and the College Success Foundation. The tool aims to transform how students access and complete post-secondary credentials by providing a human-centered, natural language digital experience that:
-
Simplifies complex tasks through guided pathways that dynamically adapt to student progress.
-
Personalizes conversations and recommendations for wraparound services.
-
Understands each student’s unique context, ensuring they feel supported and empowered.
The project will also integrate a credential transparency graph, enabling students to make more informed decisions about their education and career investments. By leveraging AI to create a more intuitive and accessible pathway to credential completion, The AI Guide for Career Bridge aims to increase enrollment and graduation rates among low-income students, ultimately improving access to living-wage careers.
Maria Langworthy, co-founder of CampusEvolve.ai, said: "We are thrilled to be honored by this award. It will enable our partnership with WTB and the College Success Foundation to do ground-breaking work co-designing a GenAI tool and integrating it into Washington's education and workforce ecosystem."
This grant from the GitLab Foundation recognizes the potential of AI to drive equitable economic opportunities and reinforces CampusEvolve.ai’s commitment to transforming education and workforce development through cutting-edge technology.
